Operation Medusa

Seventeen criminals were arrested and booked into Rogers County Jail earlier this date. The arrests came as a result of an extensive narcotic investigation that was supervised and coordinated by the Rogers County Sheriff's "Thug Task Force". Two more suspects, Nicole Noble and Blake Russell, were already being incarcerated in the jail during the drug sweep, which included the serving of seven (7) search warrants, and they will be implicated in the drug trafficking network, as well. Assisting Rogers County Sheriff's Deputies in the early morning raids included law enforcement officers from Claremore Police Department, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Cherokee Marshall's Office, and investigators with the Rogers County District Attorney's Office. Along with narcotics and precursor ingredients for the manufacturing of methamphetamine, officers confiscated heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and a variety of drug paraphernalia, proceeds from drug trafficking, and seized two vehicles, which were used to distribute illegal narcotics. During the search warrants, officers also identified five (5) children as "Drug Endangered Children", as provided under Oklahoma State Statutes. Coined, OPERATION MEDUSA", charges for the 19 individuals include: Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Paraphernalia, Child Neglect, Fugitive from Justice, Receiving Proceeds from Drug Activity, and Conspiracy to Traffic Narcotics.

This investigation by our Thug Task Force has interrupted a major drug trafficking network operating throughout Rogers County, and we will be continuing to obtain evidence and further investigative details, which we know will show a progression of narcotics trafficking throughout other Northeast Oklahoma Counties. Some of these are career criminals, which we are pleased to remove from the street. We wish to thank members of Claremore PD, OHP, Rogers County D.A.'s Office, and the Cherokee Marshall's Office, who supported us with the necessary manpower and resources to successfully execute these extremely important search warrants.

Attn News Desk: Major Jenkins will be forwarding you photos of the confiscated evidence in the next email.
